This spring, New York City Ballet celebrates its affair with American music, a passion first shared by Founding Choreographers George Balanchine and Jerome Robbins and continued by Ballet Master in Chief Peter Martins. With 18 composers, these three weeks will be a festival of American music like no other. Then, May 21 - June 9, the Company pulls out all the stops with thirty-three ballets in three weeks and a different program every night - a stunning array of choreography and music as only New York City Ballet can present. Featuring highlights from the 2012-13 Season's Stravinsky, Tschaikovsky, and American music festivals, these three weeks also include Christopher Wheeldon’s two latest works for the Company and the NYC premiere of Justin Peck's In Creases.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns to Lincoln Center for the first time in 13 years. Ailey's acclaimed dancers will perform a diverse repertory featuring a world premiere by Ronald K. Be transported into the enchanting, fantastical world of Monkey: Journey to the West in a vibrant musical retelling of the Chinese classic by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, creators of the wildly popular musical collective Gorillaz.
